Sins

I came from a Catholic school, from elementary to college.

I just want to share a passage  from the Holy Bible:

“Who can discern his errors? Forgive my hidden faults. Keep your servant also from willful sins; may they not rule over me...” Psalm 19:12-13

This passage gives an explanation of unintentional and intentional sins. Basically unintentional sins are sins of which a person is not fully aware; intentional sins are sins that a person knows are wrong and yet continues to do.

Because confession of  a sin demonstrates our acknowledgment that we have sinned.

Personally, Di ako lagi nagcoconfess sa pari because  I believe that, "If I have done something wrong, I will just  have a private conversation with God and I'll just tell him in my bedroom".

Sometimes I believe that confessing to God or to the priest is not enough. Because we need to confess our sins to those we have sinned against.

So if we have sinned against someone, we need to confess that and set it right, and if we are holding a sinful attitude towards another we need to change in our heart before we can enjoy fellowship with him. But it is not right to say that unless we are willing to confess all our sins to someone else, we are trying to hide our sins and are unwilling to come into the light. God is light, and to come into the light essentially means to come out of hiding before God and live in transparency before Him

  1. tama, it will be completely pointless if we confess then do the same sins again..

  2. Exactly. We need to let the people whom we've sinned na nagkasala tayo sa kanila. Even if hindi nila alam or unintentional. Honesty is way to go.

  3. yup, i agree with you. i also think that it isn't enough to actually confess to God or a priest. It is better if you confront the person you sinned against.

    very nice post.

and very funny scene with your classmate. : )

  4. “Father, forgive them, they know not what they do.” Lk 23:34

Humility teaches us that we should always acknowledge that we are sinners.

    Nice post!
